I wouldn't completely close the door. Let him think about it for a while. He hit bottom pretty hard and he's still putting himself back together. Also, it sounds like right now he is dependent upon his parents' support, good or bad. Try not to feel badly about their opinion of you beause they don't even know you. If they did, they would realize what a wonderful and kind person you are. Maybe you could just stay friends for a little while and see what develops. Just one thought. Hug girl.
