Ang 22-anyos na entrepreneur at part-time model na si Maria Anna Kathryna de Guzman Yu ang kinatawan ng Pilipinas sa 2005 Miss Maja World (Maja Mundial) beauty pageant na gaganapin sa Hulyo 23 sa Sincelejo, Sucre, Colombia.

Si Kath ay pinili ng Pageant Enthusiasts Guild of the Philippines, Inc. (PEGPI), ang bagong franchiseholder ng nasabing timpalak na nagpupugay sa Kastilang pintor na si Don Francisco de Goya.

Ipinanganak noong Oktubre 7, 1982 sa Manila, si Kath ay panganay sa limang anak ng Chinoy na negosyanteng si Benjamin Yu Jr. at ng proprietor ng Purifil, Inc. na si Imee de Guzman Yu.

Ang nakababatang kapatid ni Kath na si Stephanie ay nagwagi bilang Miss Philippines-Fire sa Miss Philippines-Earth 2005.

Nagtapos si Kath ng kursong Humanities major in Management sa University of Asia and the Pacific.

Ang kinatawan ng Pilipinas sa Maja Mundial last year ay si Margaret Ann Bayot, na tinanghal na 1st runner-up. Ang 2nd runner-up doon ay si Natalie Glebova (ng Canada), na tinanghal na Miss Universe 2005 kamakailan sa Bangkok, Thailand.

Ang winner last year ng Maja Mundial ay si Sandra Milena Sanchez Valencia ng Colombia.
