'lo, a suggestion. When the PC arrives at the site, It's dessolet, and a scan shows no sighns of life. The power is turned off, and everything inside is dessolate and frosen. However, The PC needs to travel a long way to turn the power on, In order to access records and levels of the Instalation. But when he's halfway towards his destination, the power "magicaly" switches on, and the bases-AI (Artifichial Inteligence) greets him. (Suppociply In a normal, re-boot state, but of course under Widersacher Influence, geting more vicius and vicked later, expecialy in the holodeck :).
