She had found the village she had been on the lookout for, and it was large enough to support an inn of a decent size. Smiling a little with the thought that she would not have to spend another night under the stars, especially since it looked like it would rain before morning. Looking around at the bustling business within, she wasted no more time standing outside. Once inside, she tapped a youth on the shoulder to get his attention. He finished setting down the drinks he was carrying before turning. Looking her up and down, he took note of the long slender dagger at her belt, the other shorter one that she used for eating, and the lack of any other weapons before speaking.
"Oi miss, whut canna I do fer ye? If'n ye be lookin fer ah room, we got some 'vailable. Ye'd be wantin to speak wit me Da for that."
She nodded, that was indeed what she was looking for, though it had taken a bit to puzzle out his words. His accent was thick, making it hard to understand. She looked where he pointed, and saw a man behind the bar serving drinks, and the lad turned away once he saw that she knew who to speak to. Walking over, she waited patiently for the man to finish serving the last few customers that were demanding his attention before requesting a room. They haggled over price before settling on three coppers for two meals, the room, and a hot bath that would be set up for her in the room. She was well satisfied, and turned to find an empty table to sit at.
Later that night, after a good meal and some decent wine, she went up to her room, and found that the bath had been set up for her just prior to her going up the stairs. The water steamed invitingly, and she bathed quickly before it cooled. Brushing out her long dark brown hair, she parted it down the center and began to braid it, one braid on either side of her head. Both braids fell past her waist, one of the reasons she braided it before going to bed was it took forever to brush out. Hazel eyes looked around the small two rooms that were hers till she decided to leave again and smiled. The rooms might be small, but they would keep her dry, she could already hear the rain falling with a light patter of sound against the roof. Walking over to the bed, she swung her legs up on to it and lay back, her mind thinking of song lyrics that had yet to be written for some of the melodies she had already composed. Closing her eyes, she drifted into a deep slumber, one unbroken by dreams, and lulled there by the soft sound of the rain against the window. She would stay here for a day or two, possibly three before moving on again.
