David Milch has made many similar jokes himself. :-)

Freddy has a long history with the Yosts, and you need to remember how famous and idolized the Yosts were at one point, and to some degree still are. Freddy also has strong metaphysical perceptions. Notice how he was the one character who pegged John a "shape-shifter" from their initial meeting.

This was Greyson Fletcher's first acting job. He is from a famous surfing family remarkably similar to the Yosts. And if you think that's not how a 14-year-old kid acts, then you've obviously never had a 14-year-old kid. ;-)

>I don't know who Brian Van Holt is.

Brian Van Holt is Butchie Yost. He is the character who evolves most over the nine days of the story.

Nah, won't happen. It had a small, but enthusiastic following. Too small to bring back. Sad, because they introduce a couple more great characters toward the end (Howard Hesseman in particular) and we never really get to know them well enough.

>Glad to hear that you're feeling better. :)

Thanks!
