Hey everyone:

I just got the flyer in from Carter Studios. This is the photographer that shot pictures for Melissa, Taylor Hoverman, Jenna, Allison Armstrong, Caitlyn Harrison & Ashlyn.


They will need at least 10 people to sign up for the time to come up and shoot pictures.

Jonathan Carter will be in the dance studio on July 15, 2006. Those who would like a photo shoot at this time will need to sign up with a deposit of $50.00. Balance will be due at the time of your shoot. Please cash ONLY! We are offering 10 spots with three changes for each person and you will receive full length shots, head shots, and multiple poses. Your shoot will come with three 5x7 prints of your choice. The Fee for each person will be $200.00 each. If you have questions please call Heather Carter at 843-293-2301.


I think Linda Hoverman -ONeal is in charge of this and with some help from Phyllis? They will need to know right away.

Looking at the photos from your website and reading everything that you wrote, it is clear how much you have learned thru your experience of being Miss Teen Florence. You have grown into such a beautiful young woman both inside and out. We are so proud of your achievements and

Logan is Charlotte's Outstanding Teen and will be representing Charlotte this week in Raleigh. She will be performing her jazz solo "Whatever Lola Wants", choregraphed by our own Nina Schulte. Logan has been a dancer at Weir Dancin' for the past several years and is best friends with Melissa Lingafelt. We all wish you the very best of luck Logan!!

Lindsay and family, you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We are so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well and are so drained of energy because of mono. We know how much you were looking forward to going to New York City to dance with the Rockettes and we truly feel your disappointment with canceling your trip. As a mom, my heart breaks for you. I know how hard you work all year, not only with dance, but with school and every element of your life. You live and breathe dance and it shows every time you perform on stage. I can't even imagine your anguish every time you think about dance and don't have the energy to do much of anything. Our health is our most valuable asset, without it, there is so little that we can do. Take care of yourself, rest, eat and nurse yourself back to health. Your smiling face is missed by everyone at the dance studio. We apologize for not saying anything sooner as we had no idea of the severity of your illness. If there is anything you need, please call, email, IM, etc, etc. WE love you and your family very much and we miss you. We will be cheering you on as you regain your health.

I really cant believe that im already in a dance and im actually going to nationals with yall!! I couldnt be any more excited!!!! WOW-what a trip! The kids took AMAZING classes-SHOPPED til they dropped, took in Laguna Beach, saw JACK BLACK and many stars at the premiere of NACHO LIBRE(where we actually got in to see the movie), took in the walk of fame on Hollywood Blvd, went to the EDGE for class, had a blast at the OC convention and had LOTS of laughs! A great time was had by all-enjoyed each of you SO MUCH!

Way to go Dance Campers!! What an incredible opportunity with all the great choreographers! MaKenzie had a fabulous time and loved all the instructors! It was great to see so many new faces and awesome dancers in one building together. Thank you Schultes and Allyson for all the hard work in putting this together for the kids - it was incredible!! On Wednesday May 31st at 7:00pm Catherine Spantgos will be inducted into the NJHS! She is only the 2nd student at Carmel Middle School's 30 year history to be even nominated.
To even get nominated is such an honor. Much lesss Inducted!Weir Dancin' has played such a big roll in Cat's life. I truly feel this has been one of the biggest influences that has helped her grow into the person she has become. Having to work hard,be dedicated to a team, learning to be a more outgoing person, and overcome personal shyness. I think as a parent you all see how dance and this studio has effected your child's ability to stand out in a crowd wether it is a oral presentation, cheerleading or being a representative of a club or group. Catherine had to not only prove it grade wise (based on her on personal education goals)but, also in her community effort. Allyson Weir wrote the most uplifting letter I could ever imagine a teacher writing about a child. Our family has never had a Honor Society member. She will carry this with her the rest of her educational life as well as into the future. There is never a way to tell what God has instore for you but, This shows you that with LOVE, Hard work and a VERY Caring Community of friends All people can succeed. Thank you to everyone that has been there for Cat. She loves her WEIR Family so unconditionally!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for being so welcomeing into yall's studio, all you girls are absolutly amazing and beautiful dancers! Everyone has been so nice too me and have deffinantly encouraged me in class! Yall are seriously the sweetest girls i've ever met! Subject: Class schedule cancellations during DANCE CAMP 2006 and OC TRIP

There will be NO regular scheduled class June2-6th due to our dance camp! On Wednesday the 7th we will resume our regular schedule-until 9:15. NO SENIOR OR TEEN CLASSES will go on after 8:30-due to OC trip preparations!!!!

Thursday the 8th-the 14th there will be NO COMPETITION CLASSES!!!!!! The staff will be in California at the OC dance convention! On the Thursday 15th we will resume and keep our regular schedule each week until we break the week of July 4th!

SOLOS and DUET TRIOS will resume weekly rehearsals June 1-with exception of camp dates June 2-6th and the OC cancellation dates 8-14th. Teachers will be willing to meet in coming weeeks to make up for your time missed due to camp and the OC trip.

Hey you guys - just wanted to pass the word out to our Weir Family that Melissa was recently selected to sing the national anthem for the Lowe's Motor Speedway CTC Poll Night, Thursday, May 25th.

She is one of 4 entertainers selected along with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Train and some girl named Carrie Underwood? Have any of you heard of her before??;o)

Today we just got a call in from WSOC 103.7 as having her as a guest celebrity on the Tanner in the Morning Show starting at 8:00 a.m. that same Thursday leading up to the event later on in the evening.

Be sure to tune in on 103.7 on Thurs. May 25th at 8:00 a.m. to hear Melissa and call in, if can, wishing her good luck on the night's performance.

Taylor did a great job auditioning her talent, Le Jazz Hot at Miss SC Teen and received one of the coveted positions in the lineup based upon her dance. She is 1st contesant in the 1st group, A, and will be the 1st teen to interview. If many of you recall Starpower's national title competition in Maryland, Taylor drew the lucky number 1 at Starpower, too. She loves to go first! She will perform her talent on Wednesday July 5 at 2:00 pm at Spartanburg Memorial Auditiorium. She competes in physical fitness on Tuesday July 4 and evening gown/casual wear/onstage question on Thursday July 5. The top 10 will be announced on Friday July 7 at 2:00 pm and will recompete in all categories. Talents accounts for 35 percent of the overall score. Tickets can be purchased at the door. We have lots of pictures of our adorable Weir Dancin Palmetto Princesses on Taylor's web site at www.MissFlorenceTeen.com. Kianna, Allison and Hayley will be featured in televised dance production numbers choreographed by Angela Rey, mother of Mike Alley, a talented dancer from Upstate Carolina Dance. They audition for the small group called the Panthers on June 17. Be sure to wish them luck! They are going to choose 15 girls to be in this group! Our Weir Dancin girls are going to Rock!! Good luck ladies!

We will not have jr Large and Small group from 7-7:30 tonight-due to the large ratio of those rehearsing with Caroline :-)
Tap will commence at 7:30 as usual-allowing a 1/2 hour break for those involved in the before mentioned class that's cancelled!

Update: Dre's spent last evening at JANET JACKSON'S 40th birthday party along-side guests such as Stevie Wonder, Busta Rhymes, Jermaine Jackson, Paris Hilton and MANY MORE!
This all comes on the tail end of auditioning for her(personally) and being selected as an "alternate" dancer for her touring / performing group! This means he will rehearse with-travel with-and accompany Janet on her up-coming tour!
He has also auditoned for Justin Timberlake(at a private audition-invite only) and made it to the END of Christina Aguilera's audition this week and is awaiting a call back from their group.
WEIR so proud of our Dre's and want you to know how well things are going for him. He teaches both regular weekly classes and private lessons at The Millenium dance Complex in LA, as well.
Just ONE YEAR ago-we dropped him off on Melrose Avenue in LA after the OC convention with a back pack and one HUGE dream to his name. WAY TO GO!!! We love you!

Monday-Mini/petites have class as usual! Caroline has MANDATORY JR class 5:30-7:00 and Teen and Sr's 7:00-8:30!
Rehearsal as usual following!
Tuesday 5-9:00 Caroline will rehearse in one room- the juniors have classes as usual.
Then on Wednesday Caroline will rehearse 5-9:00 and the MINI classes will go on as usual-NO junior or petite small group classes or teen/sr's!
Thursday Caroline 5-9:00 and no teen classes or seniors until 9:00-TAP AS USUAL for the sr and teens-Juniors have classes as usual.

If you are a junior selected for the number-you will be excused from regular class this week!
