Subject: Are the clothes babyish? When my dd was 10, an eight year old gave us clothes she had outgrown. It didn't bother dd because they were stylish. If grandma and other relatives are short have her talk to them about how they dealt with it in a positive way. Most actresses are not tall, most are only like 5'2". The only career that requires a certain height is modeling. Being small is a plus in things like cheer, gym, even dance especially in ballet. No one is perfect, our size and attitude about things we have no control over is what makes us unique. Go all positive with everything, the clothing, the part in the play, etc.

In reply to: 's message, "They shouldn't have made her an elf because of her height-she should be with her SKILL LEVEL or AGE GROUP not her height group. Also, if your dd is embarrassed about the clothes, explain to the girl's mother that it is appreciated but unnecessary. Help her accept being short." on 03:36:56 12/14/07 Fri

The clothing is pretty age appropriate for both girls and Bri loves the clothing, its just she keeps saying "but she's only 7...." I've told her she can refuse but she likes the clothes, just not the fact that a younger girl has outgrown them and she just now fits in them...~tiggerrrt (NT)Anonymous09:37:55 12/18/07 Tue
