I agree there are a lot of kids who are vegging out in front of tv but I also think there are a lot of parents who overschedule their children. I run a dance studio and I have one student who is 12 years old who takes three dance classes M, T, and Th. She is also taking piano lessons, voice lessons, acting lessons, guitar lessons, is in the band at school, plays basketball, softball and cheers during football season. She stays exhausted because of all this, she sits up till 2 am doing homework. Her mother says it keeps her out of trouble but the mom also likes the attention SHE gets. Unfortunately these types of kids are becoming the norm, not the video/tv junkies. (NT)Anonymous12:37:40 03/31/07 Sat
