I know you think you were saving the director problems by not saying anything, but I think that in this case, the director should be made aware. Many times directors depend on their judges and the judge can totally screw them. If this director really cares about her contestants and her reputation and wants contestants to return then she will appreciate knowing the is making comments such as this so she can be certain not to use this judge in the future. Now of course at a pageant, a director has people coming from all angles, so at the pageant might not be the best time, but I am sure that the director would appreciate a non-confrontational email or telephone call from you regarding your feedback with this particular judge.
