Raven femina enters the clearing. Ebon coat glistening in the fading light. Tail elegantly flagged, muscular neck arched. Crescent nares flared intaking the many new scents of her surroundings. Dark orbs burn deeply with a fire within. The mare flicks auditives back in warning. Energy bubbling over she prances lightly on the soft terra firma, obsidian hooves placed flawlessly beneath her arabian build. Her youth was obvious...three at the most. A shrill trumpeting is emmited through parted lips. Rearing up defiantly, forelegs thrashing out at the air. Muscles gently ripple beneath silken fur. A single white star standing out radiantly from her jet black form.

+In the gleaming sun she walks down the rocky path, her shaggy coat dull, but still vivid in color. she grazes, enjoying the warmth on her coat..for she doesn't leave the shadows very much.. It has been ages since she has incountered another equine.. but that is her fault for knowing that no one cares anyways.. she grazes on the now lush grass, uncaring as the clouds pass over, sheilding her from the sun..she shivers in delight as cool rain drops splash on her coat... she looks up, her tangled forelock in her eyes.. she see's the other herds move towards shelter.. and yet she stays...+

A flash of brilliance illuminates the sky, followed by a deafening crack of thunder you see the silhouette of a well-built mare rear up dancing effortlessly as if suspended in space, front legs extended to their fullest, slicing through the muggy air. She gracefully dropped to all fours then immediately she exploded into a precariously fast gallop with the sound of a whip, as though a firecracker had gone off beneath her. As if faced by an unknown fear she dropped her haunches coming to a full halt but not hesitating a half second she wheeled around and shot off in the direction she had come. In a rage of fury she slid in mid air over sagebrush not even tucking her heels but having plenty of distance to spare between her and the bush. Another crash of thunder wields an ear-piercing whinny, sounding as though charging into battle. Her energy long since spent, She still flies along powered only by her will to live and the stamina of glory she held as her own. Defying gravity she spun around without slowing or losing ground. As if undecidedly so the pursuer was down on the ground, being repeatedly stamped to shreds by her flint sharp unshod hooves. Bright magenta flung across her velvet-soft nose, the smell of fresh blood not her own permeated the air and suffocated any present smell of the since past rain. Then grace fully dropping to the ground she lay in exhaustion defenseless against the wind drying the foam and rain from her coat of soft well-wicked fur.

Hmm.. funny. She was behind me a minute ago... oh, well.
~She saw a group of horses laughing and talking amongst themselves. She walked in their direction but not all the way there. She decided to keep her distance for she felt like an intruder being so new and all, so she stopped just 10 feet short of the talking group and grazed. She had traveled far and hadn't ate in days. The simple fact that she was caught and "torchured" by humans, left her traumatized, probably for life. She and her sister, Flame Tamer, were both caught in fact. She suddenly got a bad idea... what if her sister hadn't escaped? What if her "torchure" continues? She began crying as she grazed~

:: slowly, the doe skin hued femina trods into the barren terrain, her pelt held aquiver, raven dredlocks obscuring her vision.. the tempting scent of oestrus surrounded the air near her, and she would have hidden it yet she knew not what it was, for she was a maiden femme with no experience in motherhood or breeding.. she was young herself, a stout mustang of 3 or 4 years.. her onyx opal-shaped hooves crushed the hard, cracked, water-deprived terra. her mocha orbs gaze around this seemingly empty land.. she ventures further into it to stumble upon a mass of equines, mares, foals and stallions alike. the pallid mark of lightning which adorned her foreface glowed in the shimmering night.. :
She had once been a dearly loved family friend, yet her 'family' had moved away to a new place, a place called California.. she had been left to die in a paddock outback with an evil brute of a gelding who had eaten all that was left and then actually left on his own.. she had been injured, and not to mention weak, and could not escape from the enclosure in which she was trapped.. she had been found once, and taken into a new home.. but she had become skeptical of humans and therefore she had not obeyed them.. they beat her, once more left her to die.. this time she was trapped in a deep pit with slick walls which she could not climb.. she became very weak, her ribs prodding through her once sleek, satiny-velvet pelt.. she was literally, physically nothing but skin and bones.. nothing to eat but what other death had been left in the embankment.. there was a drought, like the one these new lands were experiencing now, and then floods.. deep muddy waters which dug and scraped into the walls of the pit.. the trap was filled with these dirty waters and she was finally able to escape.. and that is how she ended up.. here..

Standing alone, atop a rocky perch, high in the hills, the eyes of Pharoah scan every visible inch for signs of his daughter. In this time of drought, life expectancy of an infant equine isn't long at all. Nosrtils flaring, search the blowing wind for her scent. Onyx mane seems to float on the breeze when the black Appaloosa steed, decides to journey down to the grazing fields. Once there and there is still no hint of Essie's whereabouts, the stallion frantically paced back and forth. He can't do it alone, there are others looking in different territories but there is still so much ground to cover. Is there anyone who can help?

Without thought the bronco steps to side, raising his front off the ground in a fearsome rear. Slamming back to the ground he gives a rumble of a whinny, letting all know that he is here. +Nay has she seen so much nothingness.. it seems as if the herds merely stand.. but can she say that her life is any different? A blood red mare stands in the clearing, brown eyes scan the horizon for any signs of life. Would she ever be accepted, she did not know. Her glossy coat shone like the sunset, black tail flicked curiously revealing slivers of silver dancing about. A lonely nicker escaped her crimson lips, there she stood amongst herself, mane and tail blowing in the slight breeze.

After a long absence from the land where the herds roam together, the mighty gaurdian of Rainbow Falls returns to continue with his duties. Pharoah stands tall and proud as his firey occulars gaze upon the grazing equines from his perch atop a low rolling hill. Flaring nostrils devour the fresh, untainted air. Black, the majority of his Appaloosa coat, glistened in the radiant sun. The warmth traveling across his entire body, renewing his spirit. With a shift of the white, blanketed hips, the large stallion starts towards his kind.
