Subject: Well, there are many pageants, and there is one for everyone, so you don't have to compete in a pageant with a swimsuit requirement, but then again, you probably won't be competing in Mrs. United States, Mrs. America, Globe, Galaxy, etc. either, and that's perfectly fine, but its not nice to bash this system just because of that. There are many ladies who work hard on their bodies and want to show them off. I suppose you don't like body building competitions either.

In reply to: I'll take fitness wear or heck, give me fabulous red carpet wear anyday... 's message, "As a mother of two grown daughters a wife of 20+ years and a fitness professional, it's just humiliating to be on stage in a bathing suit of any kind. It's bad enough that everyday people think pageants are a joke, try telling them your 48 & regardless of the fact you've got a great bod, you're prancing around on stage in a swimsuit & they automatically think you're either desperate for attention or completely nuts. Sorry, I take my fashion ques from women who are fabulous and modest. I'm in great shape, proud of it, but do I want to be 1/2 naked in stripper heels on stage - no way..." on 09/04/13 Wed
