(NT) -- Curious, 08/16/13 Fri There was a pageant but each division only had 2-3 contestants. The 60s division only had one entry. All of the contestants except MAYBE 2 were from Texas. It's just a shame to see all of Jennifer's (former director) hard work go down the drain. Remember when each division had over ten contestants and they came from all over the US? Yes Che is a nice and fun person but pageant marketing & recruiting professional she is not :( (NT) -- BOA is DOA, 08/16/13 Fri Che is doing good things with the pageant. These things take time. Jennifer played favorites-I didn't like her and it was one of the reasons I chose not to return. The economy has hit all pageants hard and entries are down. So what if there was only one entrant in the 60s division? Relax .... Promoting and marketing a pageant has nothing to do with the economy. Marketing and promoting can cost a lot of money when it is done right. With the current economy, it's difficult because many organizations are spending more than they are taking in. Removing Donna Brown and other deserving women from the top 12 meant that it was a sure thing Texas (VanBros) would win. (NT) -- This year's top 12 was not credible, 08/08/13 Thu The crown is always delivered to the Hotel and the crown that was delivered was wrong. A new crown was ordered, however, it still was not the right one. Isabella was very upset that the right crown was not delivered. I agree, Q should have done the right thing, however, since this year's pageant was all about her, she would not let that happen. I've been in that position before and I loaned my crown to the winner and never got it back. The new crown was never delivered (according to the director) and the queen chose not to do the right thing and return my crown. Q did the right thing. Subject: Ladies....trust me, I was there! The MWI organization gave the ladies an experience they won't forget any time soon. I spoke with Dee Lane and she said they were treated like royalty the entire pageant week and that she felt it was the best experience she ever had. To me, that says a lot!

Author: looked forward to this pageant [ Edit \| View ]	Date Posted: 08/09/13 Fri Ms World International � my review First of all, I admit I did not see the Elite division, so cannot comment on that. In the past two years the Ms World Elite pageant has gotten rave reviews. It�s understood that the week of festivities leading up the pageant are full of activities and exciting for the contestants. Please don�t get me wrong. I�d like to enter this pageant myself next year. But the actual pageant as viewed via stream, leaves a lot to be desired. 1. The streaming was horrible. Sound quality lacking. As a matter of fact the only clear sound was the camera men. The on stage sound was muddled or not heard at all. The camera people who sounded like teenagers were heard throughout the entire pageant. Some of the comments towards individual contestants were derogatory and quite sexist. Perhaps a better team of mature videographers next year is needed. 2. Music was bad and could�ve been better. More choices in keeping with the different competitions. 3. The stage production. Although the stage was small it could have been put to better use. Having the contestants move just a little bit faster and all with the same time limit would have helped move the show along. Also other presenters might have helped. While they did their best, the two emcees looked like fish out of water. 4. The contestants. There were some wonderful contestants in this pageant and without a doubt Melanie was the clear winner. But where did they get some of the other ones? One of them was so camp I suspected she was actually a drag queen. The gestures were over the top and the long long long posing was annoying. Didn�t anyone work with these women with onstage presentation? That only would have made a huge difference. Walk like a queen not a hooker. I think that was the most annoying part. 5. Why were the non-finalists paraded around the stage before each competition? A waste of time and not needed. 6. I have only praise for the organizers of this pageant. My only critique for them personally is perhaps they spent too much time on prep for the pageant, getting contestants and prizes and not enough time on the pageant presentation itself. I hope they learn from this experience and make next year a huge success.

Subject: There is a facebook group for Mrs., Ms., Miss consignment pageant clothes. I was on it looking around this morning and noticed that someone had posted regarding a sale gone wrong by Jennifer Etter. This person then posted an email exchange with Jennifer Etter and it was AWFUL. 20 minutes later Jennifer Etter becomes the administrator of the page and that comment is now missing. I don't know either of these two ladies, but I do know that I'll never purchase from that lady and wanted to warn many of you to do the same.

All posts that came from the same IP address that were removed from the now defunct Int'l Voy were sent from the hotel all the International folks were staying in. Everyone in the hotel had the same IP address. There were Mrs. contestants and families who stayed in the hotel for 2 or 3 or even more days after finals. -- True, 08/05/13 Mon The repetitive posting concerning platform's role in scoring could mistakingly be thought to be coming from a person who IS NOT posting. Most, if not all, of the contestants or people associated with them who had concerns about the pageants results, have voiced their opinions and moved on. The posters who will not let it die, are stirring trouble and trying to make a person or persons look bad. Overall, her board appeared to be stalking the International system, critcizing some contestants, then soliciting them to compete in her pageant. -- Sound about right?, 08/01/13 Thu My concern is, if your name appears on a voy (in a good way OR a bad way) it could effect the way the judges score a contestant, which is horrible. Every director and coach should tell their ladies to do the same. I failed to do this in the past, but now I can see where NOTHING put on a Voy concerning a contestant is good. The names above were REGIONAL titleholders who had been there before with directors, so a bit different. AT LARGE are constants without directors. Michelle Fryatt won a long long time ago as an at large, but doesn't really count as that was way back when there were almost no state directors. All regional ladies have been there with a director's help previous, so they know the ropes from their previous directors. International and United States are made up mostly of At Large contestants and the more seasoned contestant (competed multiple times) come out on TOP.s (NT) -- Hope that is a fair assessment., 07/30/13 Tue I do not believe a true At Large that has never worked directly with a director has or will ever win the national title. Look at the over all picture with Int'l. How many times do you hear the same states or regionals popping up over and over again? CA NY NJ IL AR PA MN VA (Mary's home state) and few others. Yes, it is very political. Feel sorry for the contestants who believe this is a ethical system and have put there heart, hard work, trust and money into a system that is less than honorable. However, if you want to compete and like most things about this system, hook up with a director. You have 30 white gowns in a pageant ONE is bound to place and win!Look for a coach that coaches less in numbers of ladies per pageant and pay attention to how they place. She was the only lady I coached in the whole pageant (16 ladies) and she won! After she won her director congratulated another coach on this coaches facebook page (knowing I worked with her winner as she posted a thank you to me on her page) on her win and this coach accepted the congratulations even though this coach only gave 1 free hour. I just sat back, what do you do?It is frustrating by my numbers and success speak volume without me having to! Several contestants, including all five of the top five had some posts cheering them on. One poster boldly stated "Mrs. XYZ will leave with the crown.", but isn't that normal right before a pageant?

I have recently had to switch to a new moisturizer with a higher SPF in it. I haven't changed anything about the actual make-up that I am using because I do love it and it's also photographed well. Until using a higher SPF - I have noticed that in pictures my face appears more "muddled" or splotchy? if that makes sense. It's not lighter in the photos like you get with some mineral make-up but just seems patchy.

Anyone have recommendations for a good facial moisturizer with SPF that doesn't affect the overall finished look?

Subject: I believe pageants are a personal journey and that each person has their own agenda and reasons for competing. With that said I am very surprised that several ladies have arrived at the Mrs. International competition who are "formers" and are far from being in tip top shape. I would think that if you are going into this pageant, having been there done that, you would arrive fully prepared and not just waste your money participating.

Some of the ladies in the top 15 were not huge national/international platform workers. I think Mrs United States is the end of July like the 27th or something and International arrivals start next Monday I believe. One lucky lady will be crowned alongside the four (4) national titleholders during the pageant finals on August 11th in Williamsburg, Virginia. And, all the ladies will receive 25% of the cash proceeds from their votes received to donate to their favorite charity or to help with pageant fees. Voting closes online the morning of August 11th.
