Subject: I know this isn't fair, but you have to realize that it's hard for a new director to think of everything, even though it seems like a no brainer. Maybe she felt you weren't 'hers'. That's ashame. Did you know there would be an announcement? If so, you should have contacted her. If not, you're going to have to chalk it off and get over it. She goofed or she really wasn't worried about you. Perhaps she was afraid you'd ask for perks - hotel, travel. Who knows, but it does suck. Many of us have been screwed out of our farewells, trust me.
