Is your figuire in tip top shape? your interview must be good to make top consistently. are you competing in the right system for the message you are projecting? what is your message? is it sraight from the heart? are you stepping our of the box a bit? what type of gown are you wearing? color flattering? -- ask yourself the hard ? and you'll find the answer, 10/29/13 Tue agree. that means it's just ONE small thing that is keeping you down. I didn't see it until a former acquaintance was a judge in my pageant, and she told me things about my interview that rubbed her the wrong way just enough to keep me from winning. I never saw it. I knew a girl who competed in a particular system 5 or 6 times and kept placing in the top 5 but never won. But she switched to a different system and won the very FIRST time she competed! Interview them, you cannot expect them to give you their time, knowledge, and energy for free! There is a coach in my area that only works with one woman per pageant and has a 95% rate in winners and 100% in top 5. Some are REALLY good, that's why I mentioned the girl who got rid of the bad coach, got a good one, then started winning. Also, I didn't say anything about getting a coach for free. I said I PAID her and was upset that she was making mistakes that I could have made myself, for free (instead of paying her to make mistakes). There may e some good coaches who do not take on everyone as a client. I know my coach actually preferred to work with only one person at a time. It was time he really enjoyed. BB 10/30/13 Wed Wrote CLICK IN. I paid for a good coach one time. It helped, but in general, I find I am better with friends who compete too. There are many pageant books that are great. Take the time to follow the interview books out there, most of us can self-train to high scores. The problem is that most of us do not have an interview problem. For most of the women that I see losing, it is a stage problem. Either the walk, the poise, the ability to command attention with good eyes and a smile, as well as putting together a package wherein people gasp because you look good. Good Luck to all 10/31/13 Thu
