I think you need an experienced pageant friend that will give you a realistic perspective. I know contestants who compete year after year and do not win. One lady has a horrible walk. Unless she fixes it, she will always lose on stage. Another lady is not going to the gym or eating properly. Until she loses the weight, a substantial amount, she is not going to win. Sometimes, I think coaches like taking money and not pointing out the obvious. Another lady fixed her clothing, hair and makeup, but did not quite fix the interview. She wins or comes close on stage, but her interview holds her back. These are not stupid women. My opinion is that these are women who are not receiving honest critical feedback. I did not see judges' score sheets, so take my opinion with a grain of salt as I could easily be wrong.

What every woman in pageants needs to remember is that the result of the competition should never define you. At the end of the day, you mean the world to your spouse, kids, family, etc. At the end of the day, no one can ever adequately judge the good you put into the world in a quick interview or by watching you walk in a swimsuit. I have lost to women that I considered inferior (they were not kind or giving or even nice) and I have beaten women that I believe are much better than me.

So, yes, it is hard to not win over and over again. First, I suggest you get an honest friend experienced in pageantry (not a coach who gets paid). Second, keep it in perspective. GOOD LUCK! Many of us have been in your shoes! You are not alone.

I COMPLETELY agree with this. When I used to compete in pageants, I worked with a coach. It was VERY obvious that ... CLICK INChoose your coach wisely10/30/13 Wed
