Subject: If "everything" is God's plan, then why are there disasters, violence, famine, etc Yes, I have a relationship with God, so don't go there. I just think it is a shame when people give up trying and accept failure because they use the excuse that God didn't will it to happen. Subject Author Date Opportunities opened for me, after my loss, when I let myself be open to him. If his plan for you includes a win it will happen. Violence happens because we have free will, God is there! He knows before we do and is there to be our comfort. He cannot stop evil, disasters, or famine but he can put a spirit in us that help us, as humans, come together in love for one another. You don't have to understand, maybe it is not for you to understand right now. But for me it is clear.
