Subject: I would never go to FB to raise $$ for a pageant. When you get to the national level you go to small local business to sponsor an ad etc. Other than that, what the heck do they want you to "go fund"? Their personal Travel? Hotel? Wardrobe? Misc.? If you can't afford to go to nationals, DON'T COMPETE... When it comes to a mandatory "ad page" I have no problem with women doing their due diligence and scoping out local sponsors, but to ask friends and family for $$$ to compete is low-class. Unless it's an actual sponsorship for an ad page get out of the self fund-raising business.

In reply to: stop it already! 's message, "Ladies! Please!!! Stop asking for money on facebook for your hobby!!! Make your request private to frineds and family. I find it so utterly tacky that pageant ladies (espcially the Mrs. contestants) ask their fellow pageant sisters for money." on 03/02/14 Sun
