Subject: Christmas at the KLUB

Time to roll out the red and green carpet and crank up the festivities!

Let's hear from everyone on these topics. Post as much or as little as you like, answer as many as you want or don't want, and just enjoy and have fun sharing! Each Question has two parts because I wanted to add a Keith element to each one. Can't wait so read your answers!!

1) What's your favorite Christmas Movie? What role could you see Keith playing in a Christmas movie?

2) What's your favorite holiday food item? How would you enjoy it with Keith??

3) What are some of your favorite Christmas songs? Which would you love to hear Keith sing for you?

4) Do you decorate a lot or a little? If Keith were a Christmas decoration, what would he be?

5) Do you open your presents carefully, preserving the paper, or do you tear into them? What kind of gift would you like to receive from Keith (*besides* "himself under the tree wearing nothing but a red bow")?

Have fun!!

1. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation(I think that was it...lol) I'd like to see Keith play an elf or anyone else wearing tights!

2. My first thought was chips and dip because as a kid we only bought dip for the holidays. I'd let Keith hold the big bag of Ruffles and I'd hold the dip container between my legs. We'd eat 'til we got sick or ran out of dip.

3. I like Dolly's "Hard Candy Christmas" but I'd love to hear Keith sing "I Saw Mommy Kissin' Santa Clause"

4. We decorate a little for Christmas, hate taking all that stuff down afterwards! If Keith was a decoration he'd be the lights on my Christmas tree...hot and dangerous

5. I open a gift like a wild woman, but I do admire the paper before ripping it to shreds and always compliment the giver. As for what I'd want from Keith, I'd like the key to his house and an open invitation...You hear that Santa?!lol

[> Santa Baby.... -- ShanBan, 16:52:29 12/02/06 Sat [1]

1. Either Christmas Vacation or Elf. He'd make a good Vixen....
2. Mmmm I'll go with Apple Crisp....and lots of whipped cream. As for how I would enjoy with the man himself...well whipped cream...can you see where I'm going with this?
3. I think my favorite is "What Child is This" or "Baby it's Cold Outside." I would LOVE to duet with Keith on "Baby It's Cold Outside" other than that I'd love to hear him sing "What Child Is This" or "Little Saint Nick".
4. We dont go overboard with decorations, but theres a good amount up. If Keith were a decoration he'd be Mistletoe.
5. I open presents pretty slowly, trying to think of what they could be. Since Feathers no-noed my original gift idea I guess I'd have to go with private concert....*winkwink*

[> I suppose I ought to answer my own question, eh? LOL ... inside... -- Feathers, 21:09:12 12/05/06 Tue [1]

1) My favorite movie is a quiet little flick called "Holiday Affair" - the 1996 remake (of the Robert Mitchum classic) starring David James Elliott. It's so sweet and a touch cheesy, but the payoff at the end is totally worth it. I treat myself to it sometime during December before the kids get out of school and I can sit on my couch by myself and soak it in.

As for Keith, I can't think of a specific movie, but he'd make an adorable, mischievious elf! Oo! I know! He plays a character who was born a leprechaun, but was switched at birth with a North Pole elf - someone at the Hospital for Magical Persons is gonna be in big trouble! LOL Yup - that'd be a good one!

2) My favorite Holiday food is probably the Fantasy Fudge that hubby and I make. You have to pour it fast before it hardens, but then it melts in your mouth!! (I'll let your imaginations take it from there where Keith is concerned!)

3) Favorite Christmas songs include "Sleigh Ride" by the Boston Pops, "O Holy Night", and "Merry Christmas, Darling" by the Carpenters. I'm beginning to really love "Celebrate Me Home" by Kenny Loggins, and I think that I would put it at the top of my list if Keith covered it. His voice + that sentiment would turn me into a blubbering sentimental mess - in a good way!

4) Hubby does a Clark Griswold outside - I think we can see our house from space cuz no one else on our street or the next does hardly any decorating. Inside, the main thing is the tree which the kids and I throw together, and there are a few other things I put out.

If Keith were a decoration, he'd be a big, silver sleigh bell because it's beautiful not only to hear but to look at, AND only true believers can hear it's real music! (how d'ya like my "Polar Express" metaphor? LOL)

5) I don't rip wrapping paper to shreds, I take my time, but I'm not anal about it (gave up on that - too much trouble! LOL). I'd like Keith to take me on a long & private tour of Nashville on the back of his Harley.

[> my faves -- Chesneygirl73, 11:50:31 12/06/06 Wed [1]

I love Christmas Vacation, and A christmas story, Keith could be Santa and come down my chimney anytime, ahem, that was bad wasn't it?? Ya know you missed me, guys!!

Holiday food~ I love chocolate covered cherries, LOL

My fave song is Silver bells, and just to hear him sing it to me would be perfect.

We went overboard this year, I am living with my new BF and we are very happy and since he has no kids of his own, YET, and I have two boys he has gone crazy, we live in the country but we have two trees, and lots of prettys.

Keith would have to be the star on my tree, he shines no matter what!

I agree harley ride anywhere

[> my ears were burning -- kennedy, 18:51:54 12/06/06 Wed [1]

I've been lurking around lately. Not really feeling the holiday spirit. I've had to work Thanksgiving and Christmas this year so this is the first year away from my family for the holidays. I've tried pretty much to ignore the whole season. Which is kind of hard to do in Alabama. Anyway, here are my answers.
1.) It's a Wonderful Life. (stop laughing CG) I could see Keith playing the lead role, running down snowy streets....mmmmmm.

2.) My favorite holiday item is a family tradition. Every christmas eve my mom makes shrimp bisque. It's thick and creamy, tons of calories and fat, so good! I like mine in a warm mug with lots of oyster crackers.

3.)I'm not big on christmas carols but I guess this year "I'll be home for Christmas" might be fitting. I could see Keith singing it acoustic, strumming his guitar.

4.) I don't decorate at all for christmas. Unless you count holiday cards that people send me. I put them on my mantle for about a week. My mother decorates every smooth surface of her place (3 trees in a 2 bedroom condo!) She has a storage unit just for christmas decorations alone.

5.) I'm a tear apart girl when it comes to presents. I'm bad about shaking and peeking too. I usually know what every thing is before I open it. One year I used a scaple blade to cut the tape on all my presents, so I could see what it was. Then I carefully retaped everything and put it back under the tree. I guess if I received one gift from Keith it would be for him to successfully complete rehab and announce some concert dates.

[> [> Good to see you, KP! Hope you find some joy this season. It's one of those things you gotta give to get back, so maybe you'll find a way to share your great personality and thoughtfulness with someone in need. And I really like your Keith-answer to #5. -- Feathers, 11:47:01 12/07/06 Thu [1]

Yes she is free and clear aren't ya girl? I am not laughing, I like that movie too, but nothing beats Uncle Eddie, out in his robe with his cigar and can of beer, waving at the neighbors saying, "Merry Christmas, Shitters full", LOL I am soooooo redneck, aren't I?
