Subject: my ears were burning
In reply to: Feathers 's message, "Christmas at the KLUB" on 01:50:17 12/02/06 Sat

I've been lurking around lately. Not really feeling the holiday spirit. I've had to work Thanksgiving and Christmas this year so this is the first year away from my family for the holidays. I've tried pretty much to ignore the whole season. Which is kind of hard to do in Alabama. Anyway, here are my answers.
1.) It's a Wonderful Life. (stop laughing CG) I could see Keith playing the lead role, running down snowy streets....mmmmmm.

2.) My favorite holiday item is a family tradition. Every christmas eve my mom makes shrimp bisque. It's thick and creamy, tons of calories and fat, so good! I like mine in a warm mug with lots of oyster crackers.

3.)I'm not big on christmas carols but I guess this year "I'll be home for Christmas" might be fitting. I could see Keith singing it acoustic, strumming his guitar.

4.) I don't decorate at all for christmas. Unless you count holiday cards that people send me. I put them on my mantle for about a week. My mother decorates every smooth surface of her place (3 trees in a 2 bedroom condo!) She has a storage unit just for christmas decorations alone.

5.) I'm a tear apart girl when it comes to presents. I'm bad about shaking and peeking too. I usually know what every thing is before I open it. One year I used a scaple blade to cut the tape on all my presents, so I could see what it was. Then I carefully retaped everything and put it back under the tree. I guess if I received one gift from Keith it would be for him to successfully complete rehab and announce some concert dates.

Yes she is free and clear aren't ya girl? I am not laughing, I like that movie too, but nothing beats Uncle Eddie, out in his robe with his cigar and can of beer, waving at the neighbors saying, "Merry Christmas, Shitters full", LOL I am soooooo redneck, aren't I?
