That decision was far from bad. It probably bought CBS-FM some more time because the demographic problems were already beginning to become an issue.

Radio stations run on the bottom line. Ingram cost a lot of money and CBS-FM didn't lose any revenue by replacing him on weekends. Besides, the Ingram you were hearing at the end of his CBS-FM days was far from a radio legend. More like a guy mumbling the same old lines that even he was tired of hearing.
