Yes, the Lord made me hard to handle..
So lovin' me might be a long shot gamble..
So before you go and turn me on
Be sure that you can turn me loose
Cause I still got a lot of leavin' left to do..

(He had woken that morning in a pretty good mood considering he had been tangled up in the sheets and had had a decent headache going. The woman tangled in the sheets with him had helped him feel that good mood, and he had turned to her and kissed her awake before she had promptly shooed him out of the room.. apparently it was bad luck to make love on the day of the wedding.. and here he'd thought it was the best luck in the world! He'd been fine until he had gone down to the county courthouse to pick up their finalized marraige license, which he had been told would be ready that day.. but when he'd gotten there, he had been notified that the papers weren't ready because there had been an issue certifying his citizenship because of the fact that his records with the government didn't exist because of his job and since he was of foreign decent they had looked into it further and tried to contact his father.. but no one would return their calls. He had finally gotten ahold of his father and had told him the situation and the man had actually told him not to get married - that it was all a sham and that women just sucked a man dry. He had gotten the information from him in the longrun and the courthouse had okayed the liscense, but they refused to waive the five day grace period for him.. so he had left empty handed. Placing a call to the agency, he had asked to speak to a superior there, hoping to get it pushed through the government, and had been told that he would receive a call back within the hour so he had driven down to a downtown bar that he often frequented and had proceeded to take advantage of happy hour and the fact that the women in the bar took pity on him for his story and because he just looked hot in his black tux with black shirt and black tie. During the process of getting drunk, he didn't realize that one of the women who was pressing up against him jacked his phone, so he never did get the call from his commander, and that added to his self-destructive depression, so he just kept on drinking until one of the men mentioned that it was six thirty and somewhere deep in his foggily-drunken mind a warning bell went off. He was supposed to have been at the church at three for the photos and the ceremony was at three thirty.. hell. So he had paid his tab and climbed into his car and proceeded to run a red light in front of a state trooper, causing an accident in the intersection and a rather humorous sobriety test that, had it been caught on tape, would have aired on Cops. It wasn't surprising that, when he was asked to count to ten and made it to 'wuh' before tripping, that he was hauled off to the county jail.. and it wasn't surprising that he had been put into a solitary when he'd raged and demanded to be let go cause he was getting married.. and it was even less a surprise that the pissed off officer waited until nearly eight o'clock to call the number in his wallet listed on his drivers lisense to tell whoever was there that he was breathing.)
