I'm sorry Donna, please forgive me but I find it hard to sympathize with your plight. The busing of private school children to their respective school by public school busses has long been an issue with me. I feel that the school busses are crowded enough with the children who are attending Dracut Public Schools, that to add in children who attend private schools in an unnecessary and intrusive step. We can't seem to handle the issues that surround getting the elementary children to their respective school on time. We have bus drivers stopping for coffee breaks, parents who's children arrive either to early or to late, and children who ride around Dracut for long periods of time when they could and should be at home or already in school. The additional burden of the private school students should not be. Now don't get me wrong, you have the right to send your child to whatever school you feel is best. As a matter of fact, I applaud your decision and the ability to make it. However, once you made that decision you took your self out of any public school services which should include busing as it does in just about every other town. I've spoken with the bus company and they've said that one of the biggest difficulties in this town is the arrangement we have to drive the private school children. So again forgive me for my lack of sympathy but either drive your own child or go to public schools--School Committe members TAKE NOTE!
