He smiled lightly at the 'officer asshole' part, the girl was cute, he had to give her that. He liked the sarcastic sense of humor, it fit well with his and he felt like it would make him be able to handle and relate to her better. His eyes took her in for a moment, noting the way she seemed to stumble over statements and slightly alter what she was going to say in a very similiar fashion to the way he did that. A low breath escaped his lips before he nodded a touch. "I am technically on leave for the next few weeks, we can go to Maryland and get whatever you want from the house." He promised quietly, finishing off his fries before he stood up to throw away the paper plates he had been using - what was the use in dirtying dishes when you could just throw them away instead of washing them? That just seemed like a lot of work to his bachelor self. "Have you just been living there by yourself?" He questioned, his brow furrowed heavily. His best friend was one of the smartest guys he knew but he couldn't see the sense in leaving a young teenage girl by herself while Keegan was deployed off to Iraq...
