Direct from Ireland: Batt and Maura Burns
Batt and Maura Burns, the talented husband and wife duo from Ireland, return to Baltimore for two performances of traditional Irish storytelling, poetry, and folk songs. Their performance is laced with Irish wit and humor, as Batt brings alive some colorful characters from the Hills of Kerry, where he lived most of his life. Maura, a member of the O'Dwyer family of traditional musicians from Ardgroom, County Cork, performs on the concertina.

Copies of Batt Burns' new book, The King with Horse's Ears and Other Irish Folktales, will be on sale following the programs.
