Char conducts a physical exam, where she can trace the contours of a vampires skin and find out what kind of life they've lived. What bruises they've had, how often they've cried or been in distress, how much sex they've had, what physical condition they were in, etc.
Becca, on the other hand, looks at one's mental state and their self image to get a more emotional picture. She can tell how someone feels about themselves, what kind of hidden memories they avoid, what they hold most important. She knows what scares them, what angers them, what inspires them.
If these two vampires were to give YOU the same examination...what would they find? What scars have you suffered through? What strains have you put your body through? What bad habits? What fears would they find? What pet peeves? What would your image look like...if you were to stare into that imaginary mirror...and were forced to see it all?
It an be difficult to stand in front of someone who knows you better than you know yourself. At the end of the day....would you really want to 'see' what they see?
