something rather odd happened today.

As anyone who read the book, or who ever actually listeend to me while Sam was alive knows, Sam loved tea and licorice. So on his birthday, and at exactly 9:05am on June 25, which is the moment he passed away, I always take a cup of tea and a piece of gormet licorice out into the garden and just walk around with him for a few minutes. This morning when I did that I discovered that some time between 9 last night and 9:05 this morning, my first lily of the year opened up.

as for your collection, Al, I'm not sure you'll miss it. I sold almost every hot wheels I had except for the customs and stuff.... I just collect Dodges and AMC now, but I don't miss all the hot wheels at all. And when I started remodeling for the studio I packed up all of the Kyle Petty stuff... now granted I didn't sell it so I know its still here, but I don't really miss having it on display.

I do think that I am going to build a coffee table like yours though. Maybe a little bit bigger. I won't have to put it on the roof of my car. I still have to be able to afford the heavy glass to cover it so that will dictate the actual size. But that will get some of my cars and stuff on display. When I was going to build the big one I started collecting the bits and pieces for it. I didn't get any of the people but I got a lot of the other stuff. So really all I need to buy is the glass and people. I probably won't get to it this summer but maybe a winter job.

My ad runs in tomorrows newspaper. I am not sure how I feel about it. Can I handle it if I get a ton of business? Can I handle it if I don't get any response at all?
time will tell.
