I was hired to shoot photos of two girls before they went to their high school prom. Id never done that before so I didn't really know what to expect. I showed up at the park to discover about 300 other kids were having their photos taken as well.
So there I was, shooting the girls with my $400 camera and this guy comes up to me and says, "Can you give me a hand?" I said sure. He says, "How do you work this?" I look down and he's holding a Canon 1D Mk III.... a $6,000 camera in Canada. I said, "Excuse me?" He said, "O can turn it on, but what the fuck is all this other shit?" I said, "When did you get the camera?" He said, "I borrowed is about 20 minutes ago. I was paid $500 to shoot this thing and if I don't figure this out really quick, I am in deep shit." I said, "No matter what I tell you right now, I'd say you're gonna be in deep shit." He walked away calling me a smart ass. I got paid $40 plus whatever pictures they buy from me. My girls are getting awesome pictures. I bet all his ends up with pictures shot by her mom with a $20 disposable camera.
