" but personally I do enjoy entertaining these ideas"

thats the point - its entertainment, as opposed to spiritual - and its done in the guise, if not the name of, spiritual practice.

i have no opinion on your own experience of course. However I would suggest, based on my own very limited experience and (more importantly) the teachings of those people I DO trust, these sort of things do not bring one any closer to whatever you want to call it - Self Realisation, God Realisation, Liberation, Nirvana, Heaven.

That should be the goal of spiritual practice, getting caught up in all this 'entertainment' is fine. Its like stopping off to watch a film whilst being on your way to somewhere. You want to break your spiritual journey for soem entertainment, fine, but i would suggest you dont confuse this sort of stuff with spirituality, or get the idea that it in any way helps your spiritual development.

As to the 'explanation' that they dont get very clear info due to the way the info is diffused blah, blah blah - sorry, classic style of excuse. Heard that and similar many times - too many times.

You say you dont beleive it, just keep an open mind, yet you spread it. That would suggest that you place some credence in these claims.

I would go further and say EVEN IF they had these 'powers' to see into the future etc WERE true, so what? In what way would it help my spirtual development? In what way does it help me go within, gain control over my mind and establish eternal peace inside?

The 'credit crunch' was predicted by many for several years. ive seen many reports stating it in various ways.

I could claim 'powers'. The night that Aeroflot plane crashed I said (and it worked out to be about 2-3 hours before) that Aeroflot planes were dangerous as they had a tendency to fall out of the sky.

Now, 99% would say that is just coincidence (and be right). I do know some people so wrapped in all this stuff that they would even go along and tell me I DO have special powers and im just in denial of them.

Its all just a huge wste of effort and energy that could be better spend on spiritual practice.

>>'spiritual powers' that people claim to have. This

>>2. It encourages a journey outward, when a spiritual
