Subject: As I see it, the biggest problem with Mrs. America is that there is comparison judging; so if you have an 18 (the earliest qualifying age) standing next to a 38 or 48 year old woman, it's not "apples and apples", but usually apples and pears. There are a few exceptions of women in their 30s, 40s or 50s that can hold their own against an 18-26 yr old body (that usually hasn't had a child yet), but graviity and life get in the way. If there wasn't comparison judging, it wouldn't be an issue. Mrs. U.S. and Int'l do not have the comparison judging aspect (which IMHO keeps the playing field a lot more even).

In reply to: Mrs. 's message, "To all the directors out there and to those who've been around this system for a while (meaning more than 5 years), what does this system look for in it's winners? Taking a look at the states themselves there's a wide range of winners from young (24) to older (44) that's a 20 year age span. Click in for a bit more." on 05:34:40 07/14/10 Wed

[> [> [> Subject: Comparison judging? Each group comes to the front of the stage before they leave the stage, but I don't believe that is comparison judging because all contestants aren't standing there side by side being judged at the same time. Trust me when I tell you that the judges don't have to have them side by side to be able to remember who was fit and who wasn't, whether they are 45 or 25. I think if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen, and I am a 44 year old.
