As we are gearing up for the next year's pageants, mark your calendars for our Trunk Show featuring Juan Carlos Pinera. Not familiar with JCP's designs??? Miss New York modeled a gorgeous custom designed JCP gown at the Miss America pageant this year. This is a great opportunity to visit us and see various styles in his newest collection. Of course we can always create custom design pieces for you too!

The Juan Carlos Pinera collection will be shown from Sept. 5th through Sept 13th. We are open from 10am-6pm Monday through Friday and 11am-5pm Saturday. We are located at
7808-E Rea Rd. Charlotte, NC 28277.

No. I don't think she should step down. Will it make it harder to do the job? Yes. Will her example be lessened? Absolutely not! I will not share your name with anyone prior to the pageant. I also proudly treat each and every lady I am ever honored to work with as an individual, not a number! I refuse to do assembly line type work on anyone. I would be very happy to provide references, photos, or even a phone call to help you decide if I'm the pro for you! I am so happpy and proud to say that each lady I have worked with in any pageant has become a great friend. Regardless if it's me you decide to go with or not, take the the route of hiring a professional. North Carolina, South Carolina, New Mexico, Wyoming, and North Dakota all have the same sashes and they look fabulous! So here's hoping. The 15 contestants came out in, what I assume is an outfit of their choice, to present their personally designed masks. Each contestant explained why they decorated them the way they did. I was very impressed with how much detail and creativity that each woman possessed. There was a contestant, Julie Thong (I don't remember her city) but she had an amazing story. She was in a Cambodian concentration camp and went through an unimaginable amount of pain and torture, she was a true inspiration. Next was swimsuit. WOW... these women were in it to win it. Some were ENTIRELY too thin for my taste but were in amazing shape. There were only 3 familiar faces from my pageant experiences and reading, Tracie Stafford (MRS CA US 2007 and 1st runner up last year), Nicole Gearing (Mrs CA US 2008 and Dawn Rodrigues (CA America 1st runner up 2007) Best swimsuit figure: Dawn Rodrigues, Tobi Falzon and Stefani Nowille. Then came evening gown - ALOT of white, no big surprises in evening gown, sadly I thought it was a bit boring. Then top 5 was annouced with the contestants all BACKSTAGE! Wierd and extremely anticlimactic. As the top 5 were read the ladies walked out from behind a curtain. I didn't care for this method. The top 5 were: Carlena Maringer, Giselle Uffens, Stefani Nowille, Annamae Huante and Tracie Stafford. They each did another round in their evening gowns, off to put on their swimsuits. Best in Evening Gown - Stefanie Nowille. She looked elegant with a great presence. Tracie walked well and looked very confident, Giselle looked a bit like a deer in headlights, Annamae has a wonderful air about her (I REALLY hope she competes again), Carlena was a bit boring to me. Swimsuit was next (WEIRD order) - Stefani ROCKED in swimsuit, this woman has a phenomenal figure. Giselle was second looking great, Annamae again has a great air. Tracie wasn't in her best form and I wasn't a fan of her suit. Carlena just didn't fit to me. Back to evening gowns for the final question. These questions were fantastic. Stefani was asked about having 30 minutes with Michelle Obama, she answered flawlessly. Giselle was asked about her advice to teenager in relation to teen pregnancy, she answered about responsibility and financial security to get tested prior to intercourse. I don't remember the other questions as the answers were ALL over the place. Then the crowning... Carlena-4th Annamae- 3rd Stefani - 2nd (the crowd gasped as she was the audience favorite to win 1st - Tracie Winner Giselle Uffens The optional awards were given: Outstanding Married Woman of the Year - Julie Thong Congeniality - Dawn Rodriguez Overall the pageant was alright... would have MUCH preferred less fillers as the singers were terrible but it ran pretty much on time.
