Many of these ladies are drop dead gorgeous, yes. But it reminds a little of the Miss USA pageant. When I think of Mrs. America, I think of someone who is mature in years (at least mid 30's), classy, attractive, nice, approachable, "NORMAL" like me!! When I picture Mrs. America, I see someone that has seen the ups and downs of marriage, weathered a few storms in that marriage and has the "lines" on her face to prove it! I'm not saying she has to have had a hard life but I feel like she should have lived a lot of life to be able to relate to Mrs. across the spectrum. Is it possible for someone who is 25 and married 2 years to be able to represent us all? Yes, it's a beauty pageant but there are SO many married ladies in their late 30's, 40's, 50's and beyond that are STUNNING. They have also "been there, done that", so as Mrs. America, I believe they could better offer advice and serve as a role model for others. I want to look up to Mrs. America and as someone who is 42 years old, I have a hard time "looking up" to someone in her 20's. Just so you know, I think there are some GORGEOUS ladies competing this week - makes me want to start working out!!! I'm sure many of them bring a lot to the table but they just lack experience. I know what you are thinking, someone who is 42 might only be married 2 years, yes, but they are 42. They have lived almost twice as long as someone 25, so it's a little different. I just think that the MRS. AMERICA PAGEANT should strive to be more than just a beauty pageant. It should stand for something and mean something to all of the married ladies in the country and worldwide. I really believe it has lost whatever it was that used to make it special and coveted. Just my opinion, please don't bash. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same and can contribute in a constructive manner.
