Calling into the minds of the creatures in the cavern is a deep, bass MindVoice, so strong and powerful it catches the mythicals off guard. It is neither harsh nor peaceful; it carries nothing more than strength.
Well, creatures. You have done well. You have survived. The Voice "Smiles" a wry smile. Congratulations.
But don't celebrate - things are not the same for you. Your homes, you will find, are "modified". They are not drastic changes; some territories will not have any noticable differences at all. Your Mages did an exceptional job of shielding - I could not change much. But things may have moved a bit. Secret Haven, for example, is a bit more "Secret". Another wry smile. Golden gryphon, have fun finding your home.
At the mention of one of the Mages, the voice turns more stern. Ah, yes. Your Mages. Golden one, you are a stern taskmaster! Quite the authority figure... but your efforts paid off. You are a brilliant Mage; a tough match even for the fiercest of storms. You shall be rewarded.
Rashkae's sleeping body glows a slight green, then flashes an intense lime color, then is still. You should awaken soon and find your powers are quite... enhanced. Use them well.
But your golden Mage is not the only one who deserves attention. The wounded lady gryphon was also a noble fighter. At the mention of Mischa, her body glows a soft green as well. A brief flash; when it recedes, the gryphoness's body is completely healed. That should ease your sleep. My advice to you: seek a high position. You shall lead well.
Neutral King, you too served your post with dignity and grace. Incarnation glows gently, then illuminates green, then returns to normal. Your magical abilities are stronger now as well. Like the golden one, use them wisely. The voice chuckles. And a bit of advice for you - follow your heart. Someone you love is near to you; reach for her.
Another wry smile. And speaking of loves, the white lady. Sirith's body glows a dull green, then a flash, then silence. You, gentle one, have suffered great loss. But at the end, my dear, you have gained. Your brother was a tremendous leader; he has given his heir a tough act to follow. But he lives in you, and will guide you.
Black winged horse, you are familiar to me! The storm's reference is to Calliope, but she does not glow the same green as the others. You are a victim of my wrath. I won that battle; you won this one. We are even. The Storm laughs. I suppose we are enemies, then? I would like to think so, but it seems I have blessed you with a figure you enjoy, which has brought you to a place you fit in to and a creature you love. Calydor glows a slight green, then flashes, then recedes. I would give you a "parting gift," mare, but I cannot. When I "modified" you the first time around, I left you with the strongest personal shield that can be found on this earth, and it keeps you from my touch. I can, however, give your mate some extra strength. Use it wisely, starry one.
Blonde queen and black king - what an odd couple you two make! The storm chuckles to itself. Light one, your healing gifts are gifts indeed, but to protect all the injured around you, you will need help. DOL glows green, and is surrounded with healing strength. Your work should be much easier now. Dark king, you are lonely. I cannot bring you love, but I can offer you this - you have friends here who do not pose a threat to you. Speak to them. Speak to her. You know who I refer to. She will listen.
The lightning and thunder grows more distant, and the rain slows to a gentle patter. The dark clouds recede into the distance.
Go forth with strength, creatures. You are a mighty force. Before I go... A male figure appears in the opening of the cavern. It is a visage, merely a shadow, but it speaks.
Every so often, two creatures come together and form a bond so close that nothing - not time, not space, not temptation - can break it. Everyone has a match in the world. One match. When that match meets, they form a bond. For life. Perhaps they are merely the closest of friends; perhaps they are loves; perhaps they rule together hand in hand, paw in paw, hoof in hoof.
These are LifeBonds, and they are rare. But when two such creatures come together, they know. Such bonds are stronger than any magic. They are True. They are the highest form of Strength. There is at least one of these treasures forming right here. In this cavern. Right now. The last words escape from the shadow in a haze of blue and gold, and they cascade out into the open like birds on wing. Watch out for this pair - they are incredible.
The shadow slips into nothingness. The last dark clouds ripple out of sight, revealing a clear, blue sky. The Storm has passed. The Mountain is free.
