 Confused: do you think this young woman has any serious issues or just made a convenient error of judgment? If it is the former, then a spanking might complicate her life since it will be rewarding in several ways, even if it is what is known as a hard or punishment spanking. As interesting as it would be to read about how you cured her with a firm dose of the back of your hairbrush (the one you are going to use on Shu J), I am reluctant to encourage a spanking for, as you properly noted, quite self-destructive behavior.

If it is spanking she craves, wants, or needs, then why not offer her "reminder" spankings that will help her avoid repeating the behavior. What I worry about is providing her with what will amount to an incentive to do the same drunken, un-self-loving activities again. The catch here is that you and she have to be much more open about the interest in spanking. Still, my advice would be to get to know her much better and to be sure she is a basically together person before embarking on any "in loco parentis" discipline.
