Subject: my 10yr old son competing as a girl in a real girls beauty pageant

Hi I'm Beth, I have two kids A girl age 12 and my son age 10. My son Tyler is into sports. MY daughter Marleen is into cheerleading and dance. I got Tyler interested in in beauty pageants after his little league ran a womanless pageant as a fundraiser. I received the notice about the womanless pageant and decided to ask my son if he might be interested in entering. Tyler is all boy, but he has very girlish facial features. He was unsure about what to do. He told me he did"t think any of his friends would go that kind of thing. I tried another approach. I appealed to his adventurous side. I asked him if he would let me give a girl makeover to see what he might look like as a girl. I told him about the pageant. He asked me how I would make him up as a pageant girl since Marleen is not into pageants. I told him I would ask my sister his aunt Linda since my niece Karen did compete in beauty pageants up until a year ago. Tyler said he was up for the challenge. He figured he would make an ugly girl. My sister jumped at the chance. She told me me that between her, my niece, my daughter and me, we could not only make him look like a convincing girl, but also want to compete and win the womanless pageant. My sister and Karen came to our house on a Friday night. She brought over some Karen"s out grown cupcake style pageant dresses. We decided on a light peach colored dress with jewels and suds. We helped Tyler into the dress. He could only say why did I say yes to do this over and over. My sister and I did his makeup and my Niece and daughter did his hair by putting hair extensions in it as per my sister's instructions. We added some fancy pageant socks and a pair of white mary-jane shoes. I could not believe my eyes. He looked so adorable. You what would have though there were three girls in the room He looked so much like a real 10yr old girl. My was in shock he could"t believe it himself. I walked him over a mirror and he said he could"t believe the girl staring in the mirror was him. The pageant was a few weeks later. My sister and niece worked with my son coaching him how to walk, talk, stand, and behave like a real girl. Long story short, Tyler won the pageant. He was so happy and he said he had so much fun fooling everyone. He entered few more fundraisers and won them as well. My sister sat me down and told me that Tyler has the flair for competing in beauty pageants. She suggested that I might try entering him in a real girls pageant. I have since sat Tyler down and asked how he feels. He seems to be up for the challenge. I would like to ask you ladies, how would I go about entering my son in a real girls beauty pageant, and how would I prepare him for a real girly experience. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Beth
