This program has been specifically designed to train pageant competitors ages 14 to 25 for the mental game associated with pageant competition. Regardless of the pageant affiliation, pageant competitors will learn a mental preparation and training system that will give them a significant edge over their competition. The Mental Management® System was developed by Lanny Bassham following his first Olympic games. Lanny is a two time world champion, a 1976 Olympic gold medalist, author of With Winning in Mind, and the former mental preparation coach to nine countries' Olympic teams. Lanny has been training Olympians, pro athletes, pageant competitors and individuals wanting to improve their performance under pressure for over 30 years and is currently the mental preparation coach for 15 PGA Tour Players. Now the same proven system is available to you through the Mental Toughness for Pageantry program. Mental Toughness for Pageantry will teach you the tools to: Maximize your ability to maintain a positive self-image throughout competition Analyze your performance and have a system for improvement Blast your competition with unparalleled self-confidence and stage presence Practice and apply the Mental Management System in a mock pageant competition Handle backstage drama during competition Turn deficiencies into strengths Performing under pressure at the national level At Mental Toughness for Pageantry, you will have the opportunity to learn from Lanny Bassham himself, as well as Heather Sumlin, Director of Performance Programs at Mental Management® Systems. Heather Sumlin is a certified instructor of Mental Management® to pageant competitors and stage performers, including the former Miss Texas, Shilah Phillips, 1st Runner Up to Miss America 2007. You will also have the opportunity to learn from Jennifer McCoy, Co-Owner of Lenz Boutique, a premier, full-service pageant and designer evening gown boutique. Jennifer McCoy is also the creator of Crown Consulting. The program will be held in Dallas, TX December 27-31, 2008 at the Grand Hyatt DFW Hotel. The all-inclusive tuition for the Mental Toughness for Pageantry program is $2,495 per student (all 2008-2009 Eagle U Scholarships may be applied to tuition).
