It's been a rough week for Chassidy. She found out she lost her grandmother just before she went into her interview. She did well to go on with the competition

Why in the world could that news not have waited 10 minutes until her interview was finished?? Whoever made that terrible decision should be ashamed. She worked so very hard for Miss AL, and waiting a few minutes to share that devastating news would NOT have changed the harsh news, but could've REALLY changed her interview. That's sad.

We don't know the circumstances of why she was told, may or may not have have been able to wait a few more minutes or maybe the news just somehow got to her. Would have been great if it could have waited but we don't know. Props to her for going on. Thoughts & prayers are with her.

Because after being accused of spamming this board to lure people to the one I created (which I did not do), I decided that this is not worth my time and effort. I closed it.

As you can tell, this board is getting an excessive amount of spam. This has happened quite suddenly and we feel it is a direct attack on this board so that someone can begin a new one.

Voy is undergoing internal changes at the moment which will not allow us to clean up this page. We've tried.

We will continue to try until we succeed, and if the only way to prevent this from happening in the future is to screen each comment before it is posted, we are willing to try that as well.

We do not approve of, nor do we condone the vulgar, inappropriate posts.

Actually, I created a new board as a possible solution to the spam. I did NOT post any of the spam. I could care less if the new board gets used or not. It was just an option sine it did not appear as though the moderator of this board was doing his/her job. Furthermore, the new board related was also hit with excessive spam, but I had no trouble deleting it. Why are you? New board is there. Use it or don't use it. I don't care. Just moderate this one as needed.

LLL Had jaw reconstruction surgery. She got it down after her braces were removed. She had a bad over bite, so she had to get that done. #high school classmate

Fierce competition by the name of newbies. You have yet to mention
A few girls that I see going very far this summer, but yet you're too busy
Discussing the same ole same ole girls. And you wonder why numbers were low this year? Give me a break. Don't be surprised when you're watching this summer and say "I didn't know she could sing!" "I didn't know she looked that good!" "She's beautiful!" Etc etc. of course you didn't because you're too worried about wether LLL can beat Jasmine in talent.

For most of us, we have yet to even see the newbies much less watch them in competition. I think people are predicting vets because we KNOW what they are capable of. I am all for seeing something new and I believe there will be some "newbies" to watch for.
I'd also like to say for those that think the teen program is nothing ..... look how many girls we have competing this year that came from the teen program including 3 former title holders. I don't know the final count but it has to be over 10!

Group A probably has the most talent with Burnett, Murray and Lewis... (All former MMOT for those that may not know. Also in group A is Mia Hall (DYW state alternate) and Alivia Roberts who was a double prelim winner and 3ru last year at teen.

Group B is probably the weakest for talent...strongest to me would be Micheala Moore (talent), Ariel Dale Randi K Harmon and Carolyn Connerly.

Group C has Anna B Higginbotham, Jordan Johnson, Kimberly Page and Jessica Terrill.

I have noticed a lot of new faces in teen so I am not sure of some of their competition level but here is what I know based on total package:
Group A

Macy Mitchell
Brooklyn Mooney
Katie Bostick
Holly Brand
Lydia Myers

Group B
Grace Munro
Katelyn Perry
Brooke Bullock
Amber Claire Huddleston


Some girls have been working hard and it shows. This is going to be another great year for Mississippi both teen and miss!

LLL and Jasmine are both very sweet girls who would never say anything that mean about you. Predictions are fun! Let's keep them as predictions instead of using our words to hurt these young ladies :) Laura Lee, Jasmine, AND Morgan all have stand-out talents, as well as other stand-out qualities! Let's not underestimate the power of the interview- it can make a judge biased toward a contestant! I'm sure we are all biased one way or another. Group A is very competitive. I personally think Kimberly Page has the strongest talent in C and I suppose Jordin would have the best swimsuit. I think her talent was better at the preliminary this past year than it was at state last year.

I got to see some of the girls this weekend. My granddaughter is a princess. I saw the Harmon girl and she was adorable. As the matter of fact, thought several looked great. Not sure what the all the judges look for. I know they do talent, gowns, talent , swimsuit and questions. Guess everyone sees them all differently.
