Ones to watch in Miss-
Jasmine Murray(strong in all phases of competition)
Caroline Connerly(great opera singer)
Jordan Johnson(great dancer but has a really think county swang)
Kimberly Page(amazing singer..possible t5 if she can get her ss body perfected)
Arrielle Dale(strong ss and dancer)
Alivia Robert(she was double prelim winner last year in teen and 3ru)
Laura Lee Lewis(sting in all phases of competition)
Mia Hall(1ru state DYW last year, great singer and super cute and fresh)

Teens to watch-
Lydia Meyers(solid in all phases but way too over the top and goofy..judges could look at her either way)
Brooke(pretty much the opposite of Lydia, solid in all phases but lacks personality on stage)
Grace Munro(adorable and good talent)
Zharia Hubbard(beautiful girl, strong dancer)
Katelyn Perry(cute girl with personality and strong singer)

Hmmm I don't see many of these at all.
Kim will never have a "perfected" ss body. Not being
Rude but her body type is her body type she's doing
The best she can. Arielle---no don't see that. Jasmine may
Break top 10 but that's all. I haven't seen the DYW girl compete
So can't say much about her. But who cares because we all
Know the winner is being determined in the next few weeks!

Will be an interesting year at Miss MS ..lot of newbies, lot of vets. I don't know if the above list is close to right. Been observing many of these contestants for years. And also the pattern for the Miss MS Board in their selections of top 10, top 5 and winner. Several to watch. A couple of newbies will go to top 10, a newbie will go to top 5. The rest will be vets. Talent should be good in most cases. So should be an interesting week!!! Looking forward to it. Teens - lots of newbies, but not many contestants overall. So, the title should be up for grabs. Outstanding Teen does not always make the winner from a repeat contestant. I know that Molly May & Morgan Burnett were 1st year contestants and won. So, they don't have to crown a vet. Looking forward to that one also! See ya in Vicksburg!!

I don't know if I would say it is "fixed" but I definitely think the board has a say in who is chosen. With MA now in Sept. they have to have a winner that is ready to go....with very little prep needed to be a contender. Love her or not, Chelsea was one of only a few contestants who was MA ready. If they go with that same thinking this year, I look for the top contenders to be along the lines of Jasmine Murray, Caroline Connerly, Laura Lee Lewis, Morgan Burnett and maybe even Jessica Terrill.

I think the top 10 will be mixed with some newbies to the system (Mia Hall), new teens that have moved up (look out for Carol Coker and Alivia Roberts) and possible a few surprises (Kimberly Page and Arrielle Dale).

I am thrilled to see so many former OT contestants coming back which shows the teen program is beneficial. This may be a record year for previous teen contestants...I am counting 12, maybe?

As for the teens, who knows?!?! I am usually surprised at the outcome of the pageant but I think it will be a great year for talent. I don't really have a clear winner but I think the experience of the vet contestants will be beneficial this year...just a hunch! :-) Best wishes to all of the contestants this year!
