The crew had had two people try to help them regain their lives--himself, for sacrificing his freedome...and Perg, for turning off the heat. And she was right...none of them had had the balls to come back. Faintly, it pissed him off...but he knew he hadn't been much better. After all, he hadn't even had the decency write the woman he'd loved. But if he'd been able to...he'd have gone back. He knew that as surely as he knew his name. "I guess human fear is a powerful thing." He said with a shrug. "I didn't train cowards, though. I'm pretty upset they let it go on so long. I was stuck, but they weren't." He loved watching her eyes drift close beneath his touch...and was again reminded of how much this woman meant to him. He loved the hell out of her...and though he'd never see what her immortal soul saw in his, he was glad for the connection."Put that in a bottle and sell it, and you'll rule the world." He said of her immortaility with a chuckle. He wondered what it had been like for her...living so long, watching the times shift one century to another. He didn't think he'd ever asked her just how long she'd truly been living...and had thought better of it yet again. You weren't supposed to ask a woman her age, right? "The house...is it still there?" He handn't known if the Feds had seized it, or if it'd been sold...he was pretty much lost on any news from home.
