It doesn't follow mathematically that the distance is finite. If anything, since one must cross an infinite number of distances to get anywhere, it means distance itself is infinite, and when we say we've traveled a mile, what we are saying is that we've traveled an infinity of intermediate distances.Do you disagree with this?

Incidentally, those are great definitionally axiomatically true definitions of the things I mentioned, but since mathematics is much bigger than reality, I'd of course have to see some example in reality before I'd go getting all carried away and proclaiming the ultimate validity of the argument.
