CRDM feis and regional open to other OP but all irelands and Worlds are not. WIDA are open to all other open platform schools and independent dancers. All competitions open to all of open platform. CRG are the same and I believe the rest are too but not sure about CRN worlds.

The most important thing is to brush up on the rules - all orgs are different. CRDM use pick-up but 8 bars between dancers, CRG no pick-up, WIDA immediate pick-up no gap in between dancers. Even the age rule can be different. CRDM allow white tape, WIDA do not allow it or buckles or sparkly socks. CRG allow solo dresses on beginner children - most others do not. OPIDF allow all versions of Trad sets, WIDA only their own. CRN don't allow toe stands/walks or split jumps. WIDA are strict on false starts or any movement of the back foot before starting.

It sounds like a lot and it is but there are a good few open platform orgs and although it's great to have a lot of choice they are all different so keep a close eye on their rules and syllabi.
