Spelling" on 11:41:45 07/16/02 Tue The difference between a Road Runner motor and a Cop Car motor is the 440 heads and cam. Chrysler did this in 1968 when they put out the Road Runner to make it different from the regular Satellites. With the 440 stuff bolted on, it gained 5 hp to 335hp over the standard 383HP motor's 330hp. Starting in 1969, the 335hp blocks, and the 440HP motors, were painted orange, while the 330HP versions were painted blue, along with the 383-2 low performance 383. The fact of the matter is, you CAN bolt a 440 head on a "B" engine, you are not anywhere near as smart as you think you are. A 383 Magnum (or Super Commando in Plymouth talk) was nothing more than a 383 w/440 heads. The difference is in deck height and obviously a wider intake to make up for this on the "RB" engines.
