] Date Posted: Sun June 22, 2025 23:59:08 Does anyone else find Alexa Knutzens continuous involvement in the pageant on the production team a little weird? I heard she coached this years winner. Wonder if Alexas mom made the winners gown too? Feels like an unfair advantage to me. Other coach’s arent allowed at the pageant but shes on the stage daily with these girls. Alexa seems like the chosen girl, so ironically “her†girl wins? Seems weird…if I were Allison I wouldnt appreciate those optics at all… [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
[> Subject: Alexa's mom DID make Utah's gown. I don't feel like that's a conflict. It's a gown. She designed it, someone she knew made it.

[> Subject: I heard from the contestants that Alexa groomed Lauren to take the title and Lauren let everyone know it. Did you also see how Alexa was acting onstage during the announcement? 10000% conflict of interest.

[> [> [> Subject: If you think any national pageant doesn't have a hand in selecting they winner you are extremely naive. You go to nationals for the experience with no real expectations or you are setting yourself up for disappointed and disillusioned.

[> Subject: Yes 100% and last year Alexa coached Berkley for an hour backstage after her talent rehearsal. Berkley was the clear winner and did an amazing job but they definitely play a hand in it. Not to mention Paige Dennis’ pull…. Last year she was talking after prelims about things discussed in girls private interviews. Girls she didn’t like had no chance. MVA is giving marketing like new pageantry and what pageants should be but not actually acting on it.

[> Subject: I think she uses her formers for entertainment and I expect to see them and look forward to it. As far as coaching, maybe they just need to be told not to do that and to be impartial.
Author: I enjoy the show in its entirety. Judging had some surprises but in the end a solid winner. [ Edit | View ] |

[> Subject: Agree. It is cheating. I have heard from several contestants post pageant that Utah flaunted how she had been coached by and promised the Crown by Alexa. Apparently, Alexa told her the winner would be selected by how much money they raised for St.Judes. It is crazy to me that Allison allows past titleholders to coach and be apart of the show and production after doing so. Bad look on them.

[> Subject: Every state pageant I've competed in has had the current/former titleholders mentor the contestants. The ones that got more attention were the ones that asked questions and asked for help. Ive never thought of it as favoritism or cheating until the formers/currents tell a contestant they won't coach or help them. I don't see any difference here except the accusations that she was chosen based on st Jude fundraising.

[> Subject: As a contestant backstage, I can tell you that some of these simply are rumors. I do not know as far as coaching goes, but Utah never talked about the Knutzen’s unless asked about her dress. From what I understand Melissa is on her board, so that may have been where coaching came from? At the end of the day there can only be one winner, so while there may be 7 girls that would be wonderful titleholders, Lauren still was so deserving.
