At his sister's prompting glance, he swiftly digs out the final, unhatched flit egg from the sands. "This is for you, Channa, for being one of the first friends I've made here at Igen." He glances at Caen and then nods to Kadoth. "I'll get you a flit egg too, don't worry. And T'yin, also. I'm a regular flit finder!"

Flits, the universal good present. So much better than a pair of socks. Kadoth remarks, his humor making A'rak chuckle. Velvet trills to the big bronze, who nods back. Satisfied, the little blue tweets at Caen and then zooms to A'rak's head, nesting in the brown curls he finds there.

"It looks like the egg supply is dwindling when it comes to dragons. We might be headed back soon."
