Grenith raised her head and gave a joyful trumpet to her weyrmate. But even in her joy, she would not allow him too much near her. He might crush the eggs! Not that he would, but she had her fears�.nobody would be allowed too close to them until they hardened.

Instead, she raised her head to look at him where he stood, not too close to her. It�s true, Golgith! She called. You are a father! And I�m sure all the blues will take after you!

Just to make sure, she lowered her head to scrutinise X�thrall before she allowed G�rein to fall on his own weyrmate, burying his head in the other man�s shoulder.

�X�thrall�I�m glad you�re here�I need someone to keep me sane! She�s clutched! She�s clutched, and they�re going to hatch, and I didn�t know she would!�

The green turned her attention to X�thrall. Comfort him. He gets excited easily. She told the rider with amusement. And I�m glad you�re here. The eggs may hatch pretty soon, and I want G�rein to stay calm. Poor thing, he gets upset�
