Good thought.

But good luck to him/her. Politics being what it is, s/he would be under all sorts of pressure from every constituency in the land that s/he would be a lunatic not to be unaffected. S/he would be super-thick to remain unbaised for long.

Her/His perks and previliges should 3 to 4 times any other CEO of organization in PNG or outside to maintain her/his objectivity. Besides, politics is about knowing the ins and outs of the culture, the person must have some knowledge of the goings on the the various constituencies.

Politics is about power, control, shrewdness, being sensitive to the needs of various stakeholders in order to maintain control and power over others. The political structure in PNG ensures the downfall of honesty and proliferation of corruption. I don't know if any system will ever work, given the fact that we are humans.
