The question still stands - what is the basis for the factory medicines being better than the ones used traditionally?

There are a number of assumptions you have made that are plain wrong although you have the overall picture accurate enough.

* Start with an assessment of the traditional sources mortality.

* Then add traditional family planning and on what basis.
