It is simple. No work no food.

Whoever heard of plucking food out of thing air? The biggest sin that drove man down is greed.

Man has to work to be able to eat. Labour Specialisation brought on another aspect ..the division of labour coupled with the simple barter system, followed later by the invention of currency.

The need to acquire more money is what drives the money market. No work=no money=no food. Our subsistence economy on the other hand does not., no work=no food.

Why would our people in the village be work 8 full hours a day to meet their needs when 2-3 hrs a day is sufficient for their requirements? Isn’t that what all the western concept of superannuation is all about? To earn enough to retire and live on?

Our folks enjoy what I call “subsistence affluence”, the freedom to choose when to work, when to rest or whether to go fishing. This is what every worker in the western world dreams about doing and they work their life away to earn enough so that they can live the lazy life.
