[> Subject: MAO has changed the competition mid-season before, but I don’t think it’s fair to the girls who have or will be competing in locals. The girls have to focus on talent (35%) & interview (35%) those are what makes or breaks them. Now in 4 months they are expected to buy Rebel athletic wear (#expensive) & show health & fitness for 20% but talent is now only 20% & evening gown up to 20% from 15%. This tells me if a girl has a great figure & chooses a workout outfit & gown that show that off they have a huge advantage over 2.0 girls. Yes, that’s only 40% but the girls winning locals should already be strong in talent & interview. If they can’t score well in the other 40% then they won’t do well at MO. Stinks for some very talented ladies this will hurt

[> [> Subject: As you pointed out, there’s 4 months until Miss Ohio. You can lose 40 lbs in a healthy manner in 4 months and get your butt to a gym. Swimsuit would be a bigger deal. Have a seamstress on call to take in your gown a few weeks before and now it’s a level playing field. Idk a single girl that competed last year that if she lost 40 lbs wouldn’t look completely different. That’s not to say everyone needs to but I’m talking about the people you think it’s unfair to.

[> [> [> Subject: If these girls competing (all single in their early 20's) didn't have the discipline to live a lifestyle to where they're height/weight proportional before now, they're not going to have the discipline to lose 40#s in the next 4ms.

great plan, but it's pretty near impossible for people to change their habits overnight

[> [> Subject: Since when did you think that the MAO is fair? They haven't been about what works best for the girls or the competition for years- pageant in a cold local, during Christmas week, announcing they were killing eg the day they got to MA, changing the rules mid-pageant even.

[> [> Subject: Well then, the 2.0 girls need to take America's best self-improvement program for young women to heart. Improve yourself. Draw a line in the sand and make a mental decision to focus your life on following a plan of good habits, clean eating, and being active and show yourself you can do it. It will mean more for your life and future being fit than any title.
