Cassandra Kurek Miss Ohio 2026 Talent & Gown Prelims

Finalists:
Marina DeNunzio dark horse.
Caitlin Seifert seasoned competitor.
Lucabella LaEace strong but hasn’t found herself, gown?

Semi-Finalists:
Emily Legenza positioned #14, seasoned competitor. talent prelim?
Caitlin Cramer positioned #1, strong interview. talent prelim?
Bryn Hasenaur fifth trip to Miss Ohio, placed T10 in 24 & 25.
Madalynn Anderson Top 10 last year; dynamic personality, solid person.

Promising:
Alexis Miller top scoring stage competitor so needs interview prep
Kalli Gregory changed to HerStory & improving fitness may pay off

There's no one beating a girl who’s held a former state title, will win talent, has a great body, face, and personality who's currently battling cancer. Cassandra will be Miss Ohio.

This is Marina DeNunzio’s fourth Miss Ohio (she was T10 in 2023) and she has grown exponentially in the last year. She's got the face, talent, personality, and maturity to win Miss Ohio. Like I said, nobody's beating a girl with cancer but I absolutely can see her winning Miss Ohio.

Caitlin Seifert could do this in her sleep. She's a solid 8-10 in every competition. She has fully funded her undergraduate and graduate school educations by competing in Miss Ohio-- a HUGE success story in the Miss America program. Where she lands will be all about her head space. I think it's her last year. When girls are at the end of their pageant career they tend to put it all on the table, meaning they let go and are just themselves rather than worrying about what the judges will think and that’s what does it for them— not competing against others, but being their best self.

Lucabella LaEace is a very strong competitor, having placed 3RU & 2RU in the last two seasons. She’s won overall interview at Miss Ohio and gown, I believe. Her talent is always her wild card and her styling is more USA. She's still young, so has lots of time to compete and keep raking in the scholarships. Having Clayland's prep team should make a difference.

If Emily Legenza comes to Miss Ohio refreshed, running on all cylinders, and in the moment, she’ll be T5. She hasn’t been a consistent competitor and I think that’s because she been busy adulting, teaching school for several years, which leaves little time & energy for serious pageant prep.

I feel bad for girls who get 'stuck' as the first contestant, but for strong, confident contestants, that's the perfect position and Caitlin Cramer is that contestant. You can see her confidence on stage is on another level and you can't buy that. She's elegant and knows how to dress herself for her body shape. Of course her H&M is perfection. Her talent is a solid 9- 10. Coming off a great interview that morning, then starting off talent by just killing it, setting the stage, she can walk off with the talent win on Wednesday. Otherwise, it will be Emily Legenza, for the fact she's competing near the end, which tends to boost scores (or they wouldn't be awarding placements for ad sales!).

The deadline for Miss Oxford application is March 7, 2026 but the event is February 21, 2026. Does anyone know the actual deadline? Also, will there be At Large Titles for Miss Ohio this year or only the local titles?

Olivia looks as if she’s been thrown to the wolves. She’s clearly struggling at appearances- hair back in a severe pony tail, no make up to barely no makeup, & dirty knees in a go-go outfit at the county fair. If she didn’t compete looking like this, she shouldn’t show up for appearances like this. Why is no one helping her? She needs work on her damaged hair and extensions to fill it out so she can wear it down, or she needs to style it up with the pretty side pieces like she did at Miss Ohio. This is dialing it in, so where is her support team? Her wardrobe looks dated, especially the bulky red dress, and she desperately needs a good tailor. She just doesn’t look put together. Miss America is a heartbeat away and it looks like she’s on her own and that’s unfair to her.

It's not about dragging Olivia. It's about shining a light on how we in Ohio are failing her.

Olivia is a early-to-mid 20's young woman who's been thrust into the spotlight. It's the state board's job to guide her, to help her, to protect her. Are they just not directing her to be properly Miss America ready?

The new MAO is definitely about presentation and looks - not just academic pursuits and achievements anymore. A strong social media presence is a must for a competitive contestant. Looking like a Miss America - put together, undeniably fit, glamorous, well-groomed, fashionable - is a significant part of the process now. Look at the national social media for clues - Abbie's makeup is always done. Her hair is always done. Flattering photos are shared, not odd angles or closed eyes. Wardrobe is always well-tailored to fit Abbie, too.

If Olivia wants to be truly competitive at the national level, she needs some serious polish and presentation work. This isn't dragging her at all - it's a statement made to reflect on the lack of support she seems to be getting as she prepares for Miss America. We're less than a month away, and this is the discussion we're having. That's an issue with the state, not necessarily the representative. Olivia has all of the skills to be a fierce competitor. She's gorgeous, well-spoken, and very talented. She just needs to package it well. That's not happening because no one seems to want to have the hard conversations with her, so it ends up on here. Hopefully someone with some connection to Olivia can help her polish her appearance and social media choices soon.

Unless, of course, she has refused all help. Then that's a whole different discussion.

Why as Miss Ohio is she opting out of wearing hair and makeup to events or sponsor photos? She's in a gym, so even if she just worked out, she can still throw on a face toner, some mascara and lipstick for a photo. And brush her hair.

So at the end of the show tonight a another contestant was in the aisle taking a picture with an elderly gentleman when McKenzie said rather loud and extremely rudely said...."Move out of the aisle people!" Because she was trying to see the photos on the lobby tv screen. mmmmmm... pretty sure kindness is part of the job of wearing the crown! JS

Subject: Not sure I'm liking the direction this program is taking - It seems all our new titleholders are doing is looking at dresses and posting pictures of them shopping on social media. What happened to the service part of this program? I suppose it would help if our Teen had a real service initiative. I really miss seeing the good that Miss Ohio and Miss Ohio's Teens have done over the last couple of years and the positive direction in which the program was going under Betta, Madison, Cassandra, and Paisley to see this happen. And not to mention titleholders before them that made a difference with their social impact programs.

A friend’s daughter is going to college in Ohio and had done Teen pageant in her state and loved it! Wanted to encourage her to do Ohio prelim and yet want to clarify basic info for when I mention competing to her.

1. Does Miss Ohio have to take off from college a year when she wins?
2. Sounds like the program has struggled… do they win good scholarships? - this she needs.
3. Since she would be from out of state - would that hurt her as a contestant?
4. Sounds like a local title is important, are they regional or opens?

Now that MAO has their Miss Ohio I’m looking forward to see who will be competing at MOV.

After last season I’m not sure if there will be any returners, after Ava, and Jill announced retirement, and Jacinda aging out, they were the only 2 year returnees.
I wonder who from MAO will make the jump…

First, congratulations to our new, drop-dead gorgeous, Miss Ohio's Teen, Allie Gray! What a follow up to the amazing, 'can walk into MA at any time and win', Paisley French. It's clear Miss Ohio and Miss America are focusing on beauty again. Which changes my predictions for who's in the running to win Miss Ohio to:

The gorgeous, fit, & fun Baylee Joy Martin;
The gorgeous, accomplished, flew herself to Miss Ohio and drives race cars, go-getter Lauren Partin;
and last year's first runner-up, Emily Legenza, another gorgeous, radiant, confident Ohio girl, ready to represent Ohio at Miss America, where beauty of face & figure is considered once again.

Rounding out the T5: Marisa Matsanoff and Olivia Fosson. Both beauties, where I see Olivia winning talent and, given Marisa was Miss Heart of Ohio USA, she'll shine in gown & fitness.

Emily Legenza is NOT going to win. Her placement last year was just luck. Her talent isn't as good as she thinks, she's rude to the volunteers and gets lost in the crowd. Putman is pretty but is just a state hopper. Her talent at Clayland wasn't very good and her gown and fitness were a little whacky.
Marisa Matsanoff is just one of Rian Valentines pawn's and a way to get her foot in the door at Miss America.
She thinks she's the new Becky Minger but she's just a wannabe. Stephanie is overhyped. If she brings that terrible evening gown walk back to Miss Ohio, she might as well kiss Top 10 goodbye with the caliber of talent. Miss Ohio this years is going to be whoever SO has already picked. Probably someone like Autumn because he feels sorry for her or Lucabella because she will say yes to whatever he says.

IMO Emily Legenza should have been Miss Ohio last year. As a long time follower of the program, in no way do I feel her placement was ‘just luck’— she WON Interview and she certainly didn’t get lost in the crowd of 24 contestants, as she finished 1RU. That’s jealousy talking there. And How would you know how good she thinks her talent is?? That’s just you projecting your ugly intentions on her.

Putnam is not a state hopper- she moved to Ohio to attend OSU’s Moritz College of Law. Your bad intentions are showing again.

Rian Valentine doesn’t need a way to get her foot in the door at Miss America, she STARTED in MAO. Rian was established in pageant coaching long before Becky wandered into doing makeup. How about you know what you’re talking about, before you make aspersions on her. Seems you’re jealous that her girls are performing so well.

For Pete’s sake, predicting a girl will make T10/5 is not hyping. It will be between Stephanie and Caitlin for talent. Steph has the advantage of a classical talent and judges tend to underscore baton for whatever reason, but Caitlin goes after her and seems like she’s fighting to win this year. Her energy in talent at Cleveland was the best I’ve ever seen from her. Rest assured, Portsmouth will sort out Stephanie’s walk. She’ll be in the T10, like last year, and if she interviews well, she’ll be vying for Miss Ohio.

Miss Ohio is ALWAYS who the board picks, unless Steven’s plan is short-circuited by visiting MAO or the winner is undeniable, like Betta. We don’t have a Betta this year.

Autumn has made T10 once in her career. This is her 8th season. If she was in the running, she would have been selected by now. There’s a reason she isn’t. As far as Lucabella- they’re not going to let her go now. She’s young and has several more years to sell ads, and they won’t let go of that revenue.

Glenn Straub, sole owner and director of Miss America Corporations (MA & MAOT) fired Robin Flemming on April 15, 2024 as Manager of his companies.

In brief, he claims she changed MOAT's name to the Miss America Foundation without his knowledge or approval; changed the passwords to the bank accts and accounting software, denying him access to his company's financials; then directed moneys away from his company to 'her' illegally converted MAF.

Robin Flemming, without approval, transferred $200,000 from her illegal converted MAF account to HERSELF.

She STOLE $200,000 from him!

He is suing her in Palm Beach Co, FL for $20 MILLION dollars plus.
