Subject: Miss Ohio preliminary directors: How can you even hold your pageants knowing exactly what happened this year. Shame on you. How can you support any young woman in this program given the disrespect show to everyone involved. [> Subject: Note to Local Directors- The official Miss Ohio sponsor, Jeff Knedler owner of Hempy Water stood on stage in front of all the candidates during Miss Ohio week rehearsal and stated to Steven Oliveri, “Remember, I have an open checkbook for Miss Ohio”. Lora was the one and only candidate he endorsed and supported financially. Yes, I did say he stood on stage, as he was permitted access to areas and to the candidates that not even the local directors were allowed due to the pandemic. Also, none of the Top 10 are returning this year, NONE. Please read the above again and truly think about taking a year off and not holding a local this year. If you believe in Miss America, then shouldn’t you stand with these young women? You are part of the MAO, whose mission is “To prepare great women for the world and prepare the world for great women.” Lead by example and show them how great women can take a stand for what is right and just.
